As an architectural designer and senior member of the Respond design team, Erin brings her training and on-the-job expertise to the fore in a role that primarily involves conceptual problem-solving, technical drawing, preparing consent and tender documentation, and managing a team of in-house CAD staff.
Erin’s commitment to a career in architectural design commenced with her early completion of a National Certificate in Architectural Technology followed by a Bachelor of Architecture which enabled her to work as a project architect on an innovative commercial building for a high-tech pharmaceutical enterprise in Trinity College Science Park in Cambridge, UK, while enjoying an 18-month period overseas.
Her work on successive projects, many of them complex and multi-storied, has given Erin an excellent grounding in the skill of overall project visualisation and the ability to provide appropriate technical solutions to structural and interior fit-out design issues, handle on-site and client liaison meetings and plan and coordinate the participation of ancillary design and documentation teams.
