On Thursday 5th November the Associate Education Minister Nikki Kaye and Arts, Culture and Heritage Minister Maggie Barry, announced $26 million funding has been approved for Takapuna Grammar School (TGS) and will be used to strengthen, restore and fully re-develop the school’s two-storey main block built in 1927.
The main block is a Category A Heritage listed building, and is an important historical feature of both the school and the wider North Shore community.
Prendos is proud to be engaged as the Lead Design Consultant to deliver the full design and observation of the remedial and innovative learning environment upgrade project, providing in-house Architectural, Structural Engineering, Fire Engineering and Building Surveying services and sub-Consultant Services and Acoustic Engineering, Conservation Architecture and Planning services. We have utilised our specialist technical and scientific knowledge to develop innovative design solutions to solve the complex and multi-faceted issues presented by the building, all of which require specific design. We are excited to be currently working with the School, Ministry of Education and the Project Managers to deliver the construction phase of the project.
