It is now a year since Prendos expanded into the provision of bespoke Project Management services and has recently surpassed all expectations from confirmed commissions demonstrating client confidence in what we have to offer.
Prendos have had many years of experience in delivering projects while acting as lead consultant. But this logical extension of our existing multi-disciplinary professional services means that we can project manage construction projects even if no other services from Prendos are required. That is to say, we can provide project management as a stand alone independent service or as part of a “one stop shop” consultancy.
The Prendos Director responsible for project management is Mark Williams who has a broad knowledge of the skill base across Prendos and as such is well placed to advise clients on the added value that our Project Management service can bring. He is also well versed in project management with years of New Zealand and international experience.
Other staff from both within the Auckland office and our regional offices are delivering the service under the direction of Mark Williams and Mark Mabey.
Our aim when setting up this new team was to build on existing client relationships in the commercial, private, body corporate and public sectors. Indeed over the course of the past year we have been commissioned to provide Project Management services to projects spread across all of these sectors.
What we are offering is NOT construction management (typically provided by a builder managing sub-contractors) but a professional Project Management service on behalf of our client so that they can continue with their day to day life/ business with as little disruption as possible.
Project management, in essence, takes all of the individual efforts, skills and outputs and integrates them into a logically planned process from inception through design, with cost and value assessments, through procurement, construction and finally commissioning.
We are happy to get involved from the very outset of a project with establishing a project brief and delivery plan but also to be engaged part way through a project where perhaps the need for a more hands off client approach is realised. We have also stepped in and taken over projects where deliverables were not being achieved and brought projects back on track.
We can deal with most construction projects with values ranging from $100k to $10m plus.
