NABERSNZ is a targeted scheme designed to measure and rate the energy performance of existing office buildings in New Zealand, and Prendos is proud to offer this energy efficiency and sustainability service to all commercial office owners and tenants around New Zealand.

Launched by the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA) in collaboration with the New Zealand Green Building Council (NZGBC) the scheme is based on the successful National Australian Building Environmental Rating System (NABERS) and has been adapted for New Zealand conditions by the Energy Management Association of New Zealand (EMANZ).

NABERSNZ is a voluntary scheme designed to help owners and tenants reduce energy use, energy cost and greenhouse gas emissions. Under NABERSNZ qualified assessors measure and score the energy performance of office buildings, giving tenants and owners a star rating out of 6.

The rating allows building owners and tenants to assess building performance relative to other buildings and is expected to make a substantial difference in the way buildings are seen by the market in terms of meeting users’ prospective energy needs. Ratings provide a credible, independently verified way to measure performance and can be used to demonstrate a commitment to energy efficient and sustainable business practices. Ratings will also encourage businesses to undertake energy efficiency actions to improve NABERNZ ratings.

Once a Prendos Accredited NABERSNZ Assessor assists you by providing a NABERSNZ assessment and rating on your property, we can help you achieve year-on-year improvements to energy and sustainability going forward.
