Gavin is a guitar playing car enthusiast (not at the same time) who enjoys swimming, politics and socialising.
Returning to New Zealand in 2002 he worked in Quantity Surveying and Project Management roles for the Auckland based consultancy Davis Langdon and in more recent years has undertaken development and cost management for a property development company. In his spare time Shane enjoys snowboarding, squash, tennis, diving and having a cold beer with friends and family. ![]() Andrew Sweeney B.Sc (Hons) Building Surveyor Andrew graduated from Glasgow Caledonian in 2006 with a degree in Building Surveying. The majority of his experience since then has been concentrated in the commercial side of Building Surveying; namely dilapidation reporting on leased premises and prepurchase Technical Due Diligence surveys. Having been in New Zealand for around 18 months the natural progression was to become involved with weathertightness investigations. The incentives to immigrate to New Zealand were great mountains for snowboarding and many outdoor sports. Andrew keeps a close eye on his celtic football team’s fortunes back in Scotland and is quickly learning about rugby in New Zealand. ![]() Chris Ross B.Sc (Hons) Building Surveyor Chris Ross is a Building Surveying graduate from the University of Ulster in Ireland. Prior to leaving Ireland, he worked in Belfast Building Control, which involved planning assessments and site inspections for both residential and commercial buildings, some of which are landmark properties such as the Titanic Drawing House and Victoria Square. During this time Chris completed a Diploma in Industrial Studies and was also involved in another Council Authority in Co Down carrying out condition surveys. He immigrated to Wellington, New Zealand in January of this year with his partner and was employed by Prendos at the start of February. We have found it to be amazing so far - a friendly, laid back and refreshing place and it has been a welcome change for us. Besides his current employment, he enjoys socialising (read: a pint after weekend footy) and he has joined a football (sorry, soccer!) team recently, a Greek side called Olympic. Being 6ft 7” also doesn’t hurt! ![]() Andrea Boon Architectural Technician Andrea recently joined Prendos as an Architectural Consultant having lived and worked abroad, most recently in Ireland where over the past seven years has been involved in a broad range of building projects, from large scale mixed use developments and commercial building projects, to smaller scale sustainable housing projects including masterplanning for various new school sites for the Department of Education. Andrea has also managed tender submissions for hospital projects. Spending regular time on site during construction has proved an invaluable experience. Andrea in her spare time is a keen yoga exponent and enjoys travel, socialising and time in the gym. |
